Hi Tech Contracting & Restoration Corp successfully completed a masonry restoration Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn project involving the front porch retaining wall, front steps, brick façade, and window lintels. The masonry surfaces were thoroughly power-washed and prepared before restoration work began.
Deteriorated mortar joints were ground out and professionally repointed to restore the masonry. Minor spot-pointing repairs were also completed on the front steps and brick façade. Window lintels were scraped, repaired, primed, and painted for improved protection and a clean exterior finish.
To help protect the structure from water intrusion, a rubberized waterproof flashing membrane was applied along the awning edge. The completed restoration improved the condition and weather protection of the exterior masonry.
