Hi-Tech Contracting & Restoration Corp successfully completed an emergency Winter Flat Roof Replacement in Crown Heights, Brooklyn under severe cold-weather conditions. The property, located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was experiencing active roof leaks compounded by freezing temperatures and nearly four inches of dense, compacted snow — commonly referred to as “snowcrete.”
Before installation could begin, our crew safely removed the heavy snow accumulation to properly expose and prepare the roof surface. Winter roofing requires strict safety measures, careful material handling, and disciplined cold-weather application techniques to ensure long-term performance.
After full preparation, we installed a new overlapping flat roofing system over the compromised structure. The system included the Johns Manville Modified Bitumen Roofing System, delivering multi-layer durability and reinforced waterproof protection. To further enhance performance, we applied two coats of Gaco Liquid Silicone Coating, creating a seamless membrane resistant to ponding water and future leaks.
