Hi-Tech Contracting & Restoration Corp successfully completed a full DOT violation removal Brooklyn NY project, restoring a non-compliant sidewalk and curb to meet all NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Project Overview
This project involved the complete demolition and reconstruction of a damaged sidewalk and curb line, ensuring improved safety, structural integrity, and full code compliance.
Site Preparation & Demolition
Our team removed all deteriorated concrete, debris, and unsuitable subgrade soil, preparing a clean and stable foundation for new installation.
Subgrade Preparation
The sub-base was carefully leveled and compacted, reducing the risk of future settlement and ensuring long-term performance.
Reinforcement Installation
We installed welded wire mesh reinforcement throughout the project area to increase strength and minimize cracking.
Concrete Installation
A premium 4,000 PSI ready-mix concrete was poured in full compliance with DOT standards. The surface was finished with a broom finish, providing slip resistance and meeting NYC safety requirements.
Curb Construction
Approximately 18 linear feet of new concrete curb was formed and installed, ensuring proper alignment, durability, and compliance with city specifications.
Compliance & Result:
All work was completed in strict accordance with NYC DOT regulations, resulting in successful DOT violation removal, along with a safe, durable, and visually improved sidewalk system.
